Eco Friendly Campus

About Eco Friendly Campus

Dnyanshree Institute of Engineering and Technology is committed to environmental sustainability and has implemented various eco-friendly practices to promote green living and responsible resource management on campus.

Wastewater Management

  • The institute uses a septic tank system to treat toilet waste through anaerobic processes
  • Treated water is directed to soak pits, allowing safe and natural percolation into the ground

Solid Waste Management

  • Source-level segregation of waste is practiced across the campus
  • Wet/Organic Waste is processed through a composting pit managed by in-house staff
  • The compost generated is reused as fertilizer for campus gardens
  • Dry Waste is collected separately and handed over to the local Gram Panchayat for proper disposal

Rainwater Harvesting

  • A rooftop rainwater harvesting system is installed to collect rainwater
  • The collected water is used to recharge groundwater through an on-campus recharge pit

E-Waste Management

  • The Eco-Green Club organizes periodic e-waste collection drives among students and faculty
  • These drives promote awareness about e-waste recycling and encourage environmentally responsible behavior
