About Eco Friendly Campus
Dnyanshree Institute of Engineering and Technology is committed to environmental sustainability and has implemented various eco-friendly practices to promote green living and responsible resource management on campus.
Wastewater Management
- The institute uses a septic tank system to treat toilet waste through anaerobic processes
- Treated water is directed to soak pits, allowing safe and natural percolation into the ground
Solid Waste Management
- Source-level segregation of waste is practiced across the campus
- Wet/Organic Waste is processed through a composting pit managed by in-house staff
- The compost generated is reused as fertilizer for campus gardens
- Dry Waste is collected separately and handed over to the local Gram Panchayat for proper disposal
Rainwater Harvesting
- A rooftop rainwater harvesting system is installed to collect rainwater
- The collected water is used to recharge groundwater through an on-campus recharge pit
E-Waste Management
- The Eco-Green Club organizes periodic e-waste collection drives among students and faculty
- These drives promote awareness about e-waste recycling and encourage environmentally responsible behavior
